The Amazing Scrap Race is on at Scrapping Around so go on over join up and be in teh race to win some awersome prizes

will add more later as it's time to knock off work

getting over something

It's really hard to get over things when your family isn't in the wrong
where moving forward and slowly moving on to the biggest step for me today is getting my hair cut where the person who hurt my son works but it's important to show our local community things happen you learn to move on and it takes a great deal of strength to move forwards

how do you feel ?

My son was hurt by someone esle this week they left him with a mouth which he couldn't use

Made me wonder how you feel when people or other things hurt things that you care about

Our children grow up but they are always our kids , you never stop loving them or caring about them , they come home when they want and sometimes just turn up for a few min's but it's still nice they come home

I brought my kids and still am to feel that home is a place they belong no matter what they do or if they need help . It's really important in todays world they have a safe haven they can still call home

One of my sons as moved out I miss him heaps , message him lots but have found thats all part of growing up and him being modeled into a young man of his own and not what his parents want him to be

He has lots of freedom , knows we love him heaps , knows he can come home any time but most of all is growing into a lovely young man through everything we have taught him

so don't give up on your kids tehy will make it through to a lovely person

failing

My son went for his P's yesterday and failed I was so pleased with his attuide on how he handle it and said book me in again

It made me wonder as a parent how do you react when your child fails something or when you fail yourself because if your children see you reaction is that teaching them that failing isn't accepted into todays world

I'll be 1st to say I fial all the time and if I stopped to think about it every day but I don't think about it because I accept I'm good at some things and terribale at other things

wouldn't the world be boring if we where all the same and didn't fail

I think it's cool to fail and try again because you learn so much more the second time around and I think it's okay to help your child to accept the things they do well and also accept the things they don't do well

it'll make them a better person in the long run

Holidays

This is my youngest teen enjoying his lunch at the park as he placed his head downwards I couldn't help but snap a photo. It was a lovely clear day and he had a lovely grin on his face as I clicked the camera

time flies

We have had a good holiday doing all sorts of things from going to the pool to staying away for a few nights

For the long weekend we headed off to St Helens and had a fabo time

Boys loved the water and wave ski but it was so relaxing not having to do anything at all if we didn't want to on the way home we called into a Bric a Brac shop.Boy they had some really old things on display which I hadn't seen in years

I also learn to have a fun time you don't have to buy everything we did picnic lunches and went to teh beaches which are open for everybody to enjoy

Boys loved the swimming pool where we stay as well and that was really good when it was evening or the weather was bad for the day

Take the test

summer fun

It's summer in Tassie and we are all having a great holiday

I have been out and about taking photos most of the holidays
This is an old fav rose photo which I took a couple of years back as I haven't got any new ones on my computer at the moment due to it being full as but I have a hard drive coming in the next week or so

didn't happen did it

so good for posting everyday well thats what I get when I have a busy life but would be able to post every day so will try very hard from now on

It is dry in Tassie at the moment as I walk over our grass it crunches under my feet

makes you wonder how much drier it can get

was reading in a mag the other day not to water the garden let the plants that can handle the dryer conditions grow on there own and next summer you'll have a nicer garden does make since but I still have to give them a little water .This cute little fellow is black and his my sons cat he was raise up by hand and found near the milking shed Feb last year. He only has 1 lunge and is a bit skinny due to being run over by a car ,still he hasn't given in and has a beautiful nature full of life.Doesn't like to be cuddle to much because he has to live life to the fullest and not waste a minute of playing outside

Do you fly on wings alone

Do you fly on wings alone when a new door opens

If a new door opened up would you say no or yes ?

In Feb 2007 we had new doors open right up in front of us , I was working 3 jobs and it was very hard to juggle all my daily things around my 2 casual jobs but I was going to hang on tight for the ride.

We moved into our own home and that meant so much to me because I have lived in other peoples homes for so long I can now do what I want in the garden and around the house without answering to anyone esle.

We packed up knowing that I was going to be the main income earner and that was a bit scary because I wasn't making millions still not but we have survied . My husband got work and has never been out of work and people ring wanting him to do this or that but today he started a new job

We completely stepped out on our own and for what to live a more relaxing lifstyle and spend time with our 3 teens who all still need us in one way or another

Sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone is a huge thing to do but it is also awersome when things fall into place for you . We have never gone with out and when things got tuff we both got extra work . We where being looked after

In saying we gave up our jobs you have to understand my husband had done his for 28 years and I had worked alone side him for 19 years we are now entering a different part of our life where we can sit back and enjoy the world going by around us , everytime I see a bird soar through the sky I think to myself yep thats what we did we flew on wings alone and it has been great
